Alien Environment Illustration is an environment design and illustration course created for concept artists and worldbuilders who want to bring their alien ecosystems to life through cinematic landscapes.
Building on the species and ecological systems developed in Alien Biosphere Design, this course will guide you through the process of illustrating a dramatic alien environment from concept to final render.
You’ll learn how to:
-Design engaging landscape compositions
-Create immersive foreground, midground, and background depth
-Develop mood through lighting and color
-Use atmospheric perspective
-Integrate imaginative elements into natural surroundings
-Translate environment design into a finished illustration

Jordan K. Walker is an award-winning illustrator, landscape painter, and educator with a background in ecology-inspired worldbuilding. A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, his work blends scientific observation with imaginative design to create believable environments and ecosystems. His artwork has been featured in Spectrum 25 and exhibited in museums and galleries across the United States.
